When we are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious it can mean we are off center, this state is not uncommon in our busy lives. So, what do I mean by centering? Centering is the act of attention, focus, and concentration in the present moment. When centered, we are able to be more aware of our thoughts and feelings, and then we can make better decisions allowing us to be in the moment and not be distracted. When centered we have the choice of how we want to be in relation to our environment, regardless of what is happening around us.
