I woke up today a bit overwhelmed for all those touched by the fires in Spokane, Washington and for the hundreds of homes lost, and for a few moments I let myself be there in the quiet smoky morning…not breathing. Then, I felt Spirits presence and was reminded once again to listen and tap into the faith in my heart. So here is what I decided to do instead, support in the only way I know how.

May this message carry comfort to every heart that is grieving, every family that is displaced, and every Soul standing in the smoke of uncertainty. I ask that Divine light surround all who have been touched by these devastating fires. May they feel held by unseen hands, strengthened by grace, and reminded that even in moments of loss, they are not alone.

Where there is uncertainty, may peace enter gently. Where there is sorrow, may love rise up like a steady flame that cannot be put out. Where homes, memories, land, and familiar places have been changed, may hope begin to take root again in ways that are tender, patient, and real.

I pray for the firefighters, first responders, neighbors, volunteers, and every person offering safety, shelter, food, kindness, and courage. May they be protected as they serve. May their strength be renewed. May the community be wrapped in compassion and may each act of care become a blessing that helps rebuild what the fire has shaken.

May the earth be restored in time, may the air clear, may the animals find refuge, and may every person affected receive exactly what they need in the days ahead. I trust that Spirit is moving through the ashes, bringing comfort, guidance, and quiet miracles. May healing come softly, may support arrive abundantly, and may love lead the way forward.

This August invites all of us to gently reassess the rhythms that shape our days.

Not from pressure.

Not from perfection.

But from a sacred desire to feel aligned, nourished, and supported in body, mind, and spirit.

August offers a quiet invitation to pause long enough to notice what truly sustains us — and what gently asks to be released. It is a beautiful time to bring more intention into daily life, creating habits that honor our wellbeing and help us feel more connected to the wisdom within.

We may feel called to revise our schedules, so they reflect who we are becoming, not only who we have been. This could look like:

• creating moments of stillness before the day begins

• choosing foods, practices, and environments that feel nourishing

• slowing our pace so the nervous system can soften and breathe

• adding small rituals that reconnect us to inner guidance

• protecting our energy with loving, clear boundaries

These do not have to be dramatic changes — they can be gentle recalibrations.

Tiny shifts that create spaciousness.

Small acts of devotion that ripple through emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

When we honor these mindful adjustments, we begin returning to center. Clarity strengthens. Intuition becomes easier to hear. The body feels more grounded. And the spirit feels more at home.

There are moments on the spiritual path when life feels heavy, confusing, or painfully out of alignment. Moments when the ego — whether in others or within ourselves — rises loudly against the light we work so faithfully to hold. And if you’ve ever felt disillusioned by the world, by people’s behavior, or by the sharp contrast between love and fear, you are not alone. Anyone who walks a conscious path eventually encounters this energy — the moment when the world feels upside down, when ego shouts louder than truth, when someone forgets who they are and acts from fear instead of love.
